S.t.e.m!

We are learning to problem solve as a team.

We had to make chair out of paper and make it hole up, it had to be 10cm high, but hold a big long teddy.

What went well? We worked as a team and our chair made of paper survived and it held the teddy´s.

What was challenging? Trying to make a structure made out of paper was hard and also trying to think of an idea.

Lorde!

We had to research about a famous New Zealander, and this is for the summer learning journey challenge. I researched about Lorde, The summer learning Journey is a big challenge were lots of kids do these challenges to try and win a big prize, Its all about keeping your learning up by doing work so that your learning does not drop and that you don´t loose knowledge. If you don´t want to do the Summer Learning Journey then at least read for 20 minutes a night to keep your knowledge up.

Q.E.2 swimming

The last 2 weeks we have been doing swimming lessons at Q.E.2. This is my D.L.O that I made of people in our class and the swimming pool. I was in the middles group we learnt lots of new things and had loads of fun!

My Roblox Passion Project!

The past week we have been creating D.L.Os or poster of what makes us happy. I chose Roblox because I play it mainly everyday and it calms me down if i am in stress, I also love Roblox because its free and you can make new friends and also play loads of games on a game!

There are millions of games to choose from to play. My favourite game is BloxBurg. On Bloxburg you build homes, work for money, and meat new friends!

To make a Marble Sling Shot!

W.A.L.T We are learning to work together to problem solve!

Today in Room 4 Archie, Matias, And I made a Marble Sling-Shot. Out of the following materials: 6 toilet rolls, Tape, and scissors. We worked together really well and now i am going to tell you some of the things that went well and what we need to work on!

What went well: Our craft held up and survived the Marble and we worked greatly as a team!

What was challenging: Making the Marble Sling-Shot was challenging its self because we had to add a corner somewhere in the Marble Sling-Shot and we had to make it stand up and that was quite hard to! So these are the most challenging things out of it all!

W.A.L.T Write a prayer using the you-who-do-through Structure!

In class we have been learning to write a prayer using a simple structure!
I like using this structure because, Its the most simple way to write a prayer and you dont have to think of loads of different ways to do a prayer you just think of the you-who-do-through!

Public Vs Private Information

Today Mark came in and told us all about how to be safe on the internet. We watched a video of a little girl and she got stalked from a old man.He lied about his age,and was a little creepy.He stole some of the girls photos because he saw the sign on her yard.He said he was 13 years old but he was actually in his 50s the little girl new he was up to something. The little girl should not of put it up because just her name and a photo got he too freak out and caused a lot of trouble people started talking about here in school.She finally thought about it and reported him from stalking her and the police came and arrested him then took him to jail she new after not long she did the wrong thing of sharing her first name and a photo.Those things can still cause a lot of trouble.


Private is stuff like phone number-mobile,Address, Full name, Date of birth, Parents names and stuff like that they are stuff not to share and they are to keep private.

The cat who attacked the kings castle

The past week I have been creating a story, of a cat that sneaks into a castle to try steal the sock of the queen. But he meets a fairy and the fairy tells a secret message that changes the cats life. I hope you enjoy my story!

How the fairy changed Ronald's life!

One day there was a mean evil person but not a person. Its was a cat,The cat's name was Ronald. He lives in a shoe. He was mean, but quite outgoing. One day he decided to break into the kings castle and take all of his expensive things. Like his crown, jewellery, and the most expensive thing is a smelly old sock. Ok, Ok, you might be thinking why would an old smelly sock be the most expensive thing?. Well actually that's the queens sock and everyone is fighting over that sock. People always tried to steal the sock, and make up excuses to steal it like. I'll clean it for you, I'll make it not smelly, every-time someone did that they got taken to a dungeon. It was smelly, old, and very untidy, people may say its the giants foot. Then Ronald decided that it was time to try not get found and hurt, but it's time for me to steal the queens shoe.







Ronald ran out of his shoe house and down the big, long, path of stairs. Ronald ran for almost 30 minutes until he got to the Kings castle. Ronald went up to the castle entrance, he knocked then ran away. He ding, dong, ditched, them so they would leave the door open. Ronald's plan worked, Ronald ran in the door. He saw all the guards, he was quite nervous, and quite scared. He had never robbed anyone before and was scared to do it. Ronald regretted to do what his dream was, but he wanted to do the good things, not the bad. So he ran back out of the door. He didn't know if he was dreaming but he saw a bright green light and something started to rise. Ronald looked a we-bit closer and he saw a fairy! He was so nervous of what the fairy would say to him.







Ronald took a step closer and the fairy did to, they then touched each other and they talked for ages. They told each other their names, and their ages, and what they were doing. Ronald got so scared to tell the fairy what he was doing because he did not want her to judge him for wanting to steal. Ronald lied and said that he was going for a walk and he came past the castle. The fairy did not believe Ronald because everyone knows about that castle, he then stood up and told the truth. Ronald told the fairy everything, the fairy knew that if he told the truth he is being courageous of his actions and is doing the right thing. But if he lied that would not of been the right thing to do. The fairy told Ronald that since you told the truth, you get one wish.







Ronald wanted his wish to be that he could get the queens sock, so the fairy granted his wish and disappeared into mid air. Ronald was happy to tell the truth and to have the sock. Then realised something he did wrong. He stole the queens sock, people always say that there are rumours that if you steal the queens sock you will get haunted for the rest of your life. So Ronald decided that he should put the sock back so he could do the good thing. He quickly put the sock back, then after about 30 minutes he was home. He went to bed and remembered what the fairy said ̈ Always do the right thing never do the wrong thing.̈ That is how the fairy changed Ronald's life.

The Arctic Task: 1

The past few days, I have been creating a poster about Finding Sir, John, Franklin. John Franklin is a man that got lost in the Arctic. We had to create a reward poster that we would put up if we were in there years of time. That would actually convince people to find John Franklin.

Quick Write Story!

Trapping the Sun

The 5-6 weeks I have been working on this story called¨ Trapping the Sun¨ I chose this picture to make a story about because it looked very interesting and it would make a really good story for people to read. Read the story and comment your favourite part about it.

One day there was a lady called Samantha. She  was walking in a huge desert, she had magical powers, and never used them unless the sun came out. Samantha hated the sun so much she decided to trap it in a huge woollen net with a long bit of rope. She then trapped it and it turned all dark, horrifying, and scary. She was a we- bit worried what the sun would do since she caught it.



The next day Samantha was still walking the long and deep sand, it was not over yet until she saw lots of light in the distance. Samantha walked a we - bit closer and saw lots of people with candles and torches, they were shining from the sun light, then the sun started to blow up and get really big and puffy then all of a Sutton something happened all turned silent because the sun turned off. It was the darkest it has ever been until one man called Jimmy saved everyone.



When Jimmy arrived everyone was silent, Jimmy had powers like Samantha and used then to turn the sun back on so that the light and brightness would come back. Then Jimmy tried and still all was dark, then Jimmy said ̈Samantha we should both use our powers and then it might turn back on ̈ Then they both agreed to use there powers then used them, and they changed everyone's feelings and then everyone celebrated the light of the sun and then Samantha and Jimmy ended up being mad at each other since Samantha hated the sun and Jimmy and everyone else loved it.



They decided to make a plan were at night Samantha would be happy in the dark and won't put the sun back in the rope again and Jimmy would be happy with everyone else in the day time and won't put the sun down either. They both looked at each other in happily and kissed

They both saved the earth and the sun and 1 year later they got married and had kids, they both ended up splitting and the end of the year since Jimmy did not like their kids and they both found someone else, then they were going to the park and saw each other. They were both regretting going to the park since they hated each other's guts so much.



They looked at each other dead in the eye and the kids did the same thing they stared at each other like their parents. They both looked like they were very mad.



They both left and pretended they never knew each other, they both started to miss each other. They were very sad that they broke up, They both arranged a Play-date for the kids and a big talk for the adults. It was the day, they decided to get back together.



They grew old together and lived together for the rest of their lives.

They lived happily ever after.

Saint Therese of Lisieux.

The past week Chleo and I have been creating a poster about Saint Therese of Lisieux. We have researched information about her and we would like to share out work with you. What is your favourite part about our post.

At the start of the week Miss Holland gave the class buddies to work in, to research about a Saint. We choose Saint Therese of Lisieux. We hope you like our Poster that we have created!

The Mary story!

One time long ago in around the 0001ś there was a lady called Mary. She was woken in her sleep by a dream, she was exhausted and very tired. She decided to have breakfast which was oats, grass, and corn. She made her breakfast and gulped it right up, then she went outside and went into the garage. She grabbed her watering-can and skipped to the garden, to all the beautiful and bright flowers. She watered her flowers and gasped.

There was an Angel called Gabriel, he said ̈You will have a baby called Jesus ̈ then Mary said ̈ I'm so scared and shocked that I would ever have a baby called Jesus, I am not prepared for a baby yet ̈ Then Gabriel disappeared and left, he turned into a bird. He flew off. Mary so terrified and broke down into tears. She was so scared and did not know what to do or what to get.

Mary did not know if she was going to tell anyone or keep it secret, she thought for nights until she decided to tell Joseph. When she told him she was so nervous that he was going to be mad then Joseph said ̈ Oh my Goodness, Is this true ̈ Mary replied ̈ Yes!”Im sorry ̈ Joseph said ̈ That is Amazing Im so happy for you ̈ Mary gasped and replied ̈ Really?¨ She cried happy tears and was very happy that someone thought that it was fine. After Mary had baby Jesus, Jesus grew into an amazing person and that is the end of the story of Mary and Gabriel the Angel.

How to make a Marmite sandwich

The past week we have been making instructions to make an sandwich, either Marmite, Butter, or Peanut - Butter. This is my instructional writing of how to make a Marmite sandwich. My instructions worked!  I will be telling you how I made it work.  

I made it work by using specific, and good describing words. I am happy that it worked because I was really hungry. My teacher Miss Holland followed my instructions and they worked and the sandwich was made.

Interland

Today Mark came in and introduced a new game called Interland. You play different games and learn different ways to be safe online or offline. This is The Tower of Treasure, You learn how to be safe and keep your private and personal information. The green person down the bottom is the hacker the tower behind him is the tower with all your private information in it. You had to make  passwords to build your tower and make in big enough to stop the hackers from braking it and finding out all of your private information.

What Camp Green Lake would look like 110 years in the future compared to 110 years ago!

The past month we have been in different groups for reading. I have been reading the book holes, this is Camp Green Lake. The place where naughty people go.
This is it 110 years ago compared to 110 years into the future.

110 years ago it was beautiful and there was a river it was the biggest river in Texas it was crystal clear, and always sunny. But 110 years into the future its was all old and dry because when people digged up the holes it left a destructing, unforgettable, wasteland, people left it horrible and never took any care of it!

Manners

The last few days in class we have been learning about our manners. This is my manners poster and it explains how we can use our manners. These manners are things that you do and act, I need to work on Looking at the speaker.

The story of Abraham and Sarah

One time long ago there lived a couple called Abraham and Sarah. They always wanted a kid and they tried everything they could to make one but did not work, then God said'' Go to Canaan and you will have a baby'' then they walked all the way there and still no baby. Then Abraham said to God'' When will we get our son?'' then God replied'' you will get a baby soon'' and they kept waiting and waiting until one day they had a baby son!

They were so happy and then they named there son Issac, which means Laughter. Then Issac had kids and they had more kids and that cycle kept going on forever. Even Jesus ended up in the cycle.

Then Abraham and Sarah lived happily ever after. 

Hero World

Over the past few weeks, in class we had to make a Narrative story. We had to include a opening, problem, solution, and the ending, 

This is my story and I hope that you like what I have done. We have all had a few weeks to get it completed.

What is your favourite part about the story? 

One time long ago there lived a man called Tim. He was a hero and lived in a city called Hero World.
He was very kind and outgoing compared to the villain called Tom. He had powers of flying, and
invisibility. He was evil because his parents were as well. His parents did everything to try and make
their son evil and it finally worked.

 Tom decided to cast a nasty spell on everyone in Tims original town called Hero World, because he
wanted everyone to turn into zombies. He was running from England which was the country he was
brought to after the tsunami hit in Hero World.  Tom went to his base, his base was on the highest
mountain in the world, and snatched all his ingredients. Like a bit of hair, green food colouring,
and a ripped shirt, and poured them into a huge container then stood back and Pow... It exploded and a
bunch of zombies came out then started chasing Tom.

Tom ran out of his base. They were so close the the cliff as the zombies still ran after him pushing
Tom to the edge of the biggest cliff on earth. Tom used his flying power and flew up into the dark
and gloomy sky, then Tom went to the Hero Tower. It was a tall, enormous, tower that villains come
to and cast spells on to the city. Tom was getting ready to pour his magical overwhelming zombie potion
into the Hero tower. 

Tom started pouring the magic potion into the Tower, making zombies starting to run out everyone
was screaming. Tim woke up with a fright, Wondering why everyone was yelling, He has powers of
flying, and invisibility, as well as Tom. He walked outside and groaned to see zombies in the city.
He got into his bright, shining red and blue costume with wind on it, and flew up, with a serious
face getting ready to fight.

Tim flew down with a BLAST causing Tom to fall from the tower, he fell off so hard the city collapsed.
Everyone was holding on or they would fall in outer space. Then Tim made a huge ginormous magical
ball. It was bright, it was dark purple and abundant. Then threw it at Tim, he blocked it and threw it
back at him. Then Tom fell off the city and never returned back to Hero World. The city survived
and everyone lived happily ever after.   

Where you can Worship God!

Today me and my class had to do an activity where we had to write where and who we can can Worship God, This is mine, Worshipping means to Pray to God or The Lord and its a religious activity for people who believe in Gods name, people do when they are sad, mad, or frustrated, I will be explaining what this verse means:¨For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them¨ Matthew 18:20 I will be explaining it to you, This verse means when people pray Gods name then he will be with them QUESTION:If you got to go anywhere in the whole world to pray where would it be???

My Play-The Perfect Presentation

Today I will be telling you about the play I did today. I will be telling you all about it.

-The play I did: I did a play called The Perfect Presentation.

-Who was in the play: Jackson, Jennifer, Kloe, Miller, Sophia, where in my play with me.

-What was hard: I found using expressions and actions hard because everyone was watching and also just stepping out of my comfort zone.

-What I enjoyed: Having fun and trying our hardest in everything and also using expressions and actions because it was fun.

How to be a respectful learner to others.

Today we did an activity were we had to do a google drawing or slide and write how we could be a respectful learner and this is my mine.

Reflection of Winter Sports.

Today I will be telling you about my Winter Sports. I will be reflecting and I did Hockey.

1: How did the game go? We went so well, we got our first goal and we lost the second game. We tried our hardest and I was so surprised I ended up getting two goals. I was so happy and was shocked as well.

2: What did I find hard in the game? Getting it in the goal because everyone in the other team was blocking but we still tried. I also found getting it in the goal because the sun was so bright and it was blinding lots of people in my team.

3:What am I looking forward to next week? I am looking forward to winning both of the games and giving it our best try. We will try and win next week and put all of our mind into it.

4: What do I need to work on? Trying to pass the ball to different people because the same people were getting the ball and some people were probably getting bored. Also hoping that the weather is not to sunny or we will get less strength and we want to win next week.

Today in class we did an activity where we had to look at a public and private information.Miss Holland put us into buddies. We had to identify of it was public and private. We had to highlight green for public and red for private.After we looked and completed that we had to make up one our self and get people to look at it and see of it was public or private.We all made up different one the names i made up was Sally McDonnell and everyone made different names,ages,address,birthdays,and places the made up people live,After we finished that we had to come back to our classes and that was the activity we did today.

Today me and my class did an activity where we had do make an advertisement to convince Miss Holland to buy a Chromebook we wrote some and some of them she actually wanted to buy because off how amazing it was she was convinced so now this is my persuasive writing advertisement to try get Miss Holland to buy a CHROMEBOOK!

The Holy Spirit

Today in Room 2 we did a activity where we had to find a verse in the bible then guess by the verse of it was about the Spirit of Truth or Comforter and we had to write why I am going to tell you what they mean.

The Spirit of Truth means that the Spirit is with you at all times and even though you cant see it you can still feel it.

Comforter means to feel comfort where ever you are and always believe that Jesus and The Holy Spirit is with you at all time when you are sad,mad,or happy just know that The Holy Spirit and Jesus is with you.

The difference between Public and Private.

Today Mark came in to room 2 and told us about private and public stuff that you can and you should not post on the internet.Mark put on a video about private and public. Public is just simple stuff like your favourite food, movie, colour, and your pets but never in 1 million years post your Address, Birthday, phone number, age, or full name.All of these things can cause allot of trouble and lots of problems we did a little game where we had to search up special information about Mark to see of we could find it and how smart the internet is.We had 10 minutes to look for his private information like his mobile number, job- jobs number, and his children.

Today me and my classmates had some time to mess around with powtoon Its a app to create new and amazing things.We started off by signed in then we started designing different and creative drawings with animated characters and backgrounds.We had around 30 minutes to make an imaginary ever lasting piece of artwork.
